Swpit Platform
Rules & Safety Guidelines
By using Swpit, you and your parent or guardian agree to these rules. Please read them carefully before trading.
Last updated: July 2026
⚠️ All in-person trades must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Swpit is not responsible for meetups that happen without adult supervision.
What is Swpit?
Swpit is a peer-to-peer toy and item trading platform designed for kids. It allows young users to list items they no longer need and offer trades with other kids in their area. Swpit is a facilitator only — we do not buy, sell, or physically handle any items.
Parental Responsibility
A parent or guardian MUST be present during any in-person trade meetup. Swpit strongly advises that trades take place in public locations such as school grounds, libraries, or community centres. Swpit Limited is NOT responsible for any loss, injury, theft, or harm that occurs during or as a result of a meetup arranged through the platform. By using Swpit, parents and guardians accept full responsibility for supervising their child during any trade exchange.
Prohibited Items
The following items may NOT be listed or traded on Swpit: • Any items intended for adults only • Weapons, replica weapons, or anything that could cause harm • Alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, e-cigarettes, drugs, or narcotics of any kind • Prescription medication or supplements • Counterfeit or stolen goods • Items with explicit, violent, or inappropriate content • Animals or living creatures Swpit reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these rules without notice.
Safety Rules for Kids
• Never share your home address with another user — arrange meetups at a school or public place • Never share a mobile phone number, family details, social media handles, or passwords with another trader • Always tell a trusted adult before going to any trade • If anything feels wrong or uncomfortable, cancel the trade immediately and tell a parent • Only trade items you genuinely own and have permission to give away
Age & ID Verification
Swpit is intended for children aged 6–17. Every account goes through an AI face-age check and a school ID upload; our admin team reviews each ID to confirm the user is a genuine student. If the face check estimates someone is older than 17, they cannot create an account. Every profile shows a status you can check before trading: a green ✓ means the school ID has been reviewed and approved, and an orange ⏳ means it's still pending review — trade carefully and always get a parent's OK. Listings from an unverified trader are clearly marked with a warning. If a school ID cannot be verified and is rejected, the account is suspended and loses access to the rest of Swpit until it's resolved. Swpit does not store original ID documents or face-scan photos beyond what is needed for verification.
Limitation of Liability
Swpit Limited (the platform operator) is a technology service that connects users. We are NOT a party to any trade agreement between users. We provide no warranty on the condition, authenticity, or value of any item listed. We are not liable for: • Items that are damaged, lost, or not as described • Disputes between users about the fairness of a trade • Any incident, injury, or loss that occurs during a meetup • Any financial or emotional harm resulting from a trade Swpit's total liability to any user shall not exceed the value of the subscription fee paid (if any) in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Swpit has a zero-tolerance policy for: • Bullying, harassment, or threatening messages • Racism, hate speech, or discriminatory language • Attempting to arrange meetups without parental knowledge • Impersonating another person or using a fake school ID • Any behaviour that puts another child at risk Any user found in violation of these rules will have their account permanently suspended. Serious violations may be reported to the relevant authorities.
Privacy & Data
Swpit collects only the information needed to operate the platform: name, school name, area, and email address. We do not sell your data to third parties. We comply with UK GDPR and the Children's Online Privacy Protection principles. Parents may request deletion of their child's account and data at any time by emailing us.
Changes to These Rules
Swpit may update these rules from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published means you accept the updated rules. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
